Malaysia Visa Requirement

 

Bangladesh nationals who wish to travel to Malaysia on a regular Bangladesh passport require a Visa to enter Malaysia and permitted to stay not more than 30 days.

                                                                                                                                                    

Visa exemption is given to Bangladesh diplomatic or official passport holders on reciprocal basis for a social visit purpose pursuant to the Bilateral Agreement between both the Governments of Malaysia and Bangladesh on the Partial Abolition of Visa Requirement for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports in 2014. The visit pass is issued on arrival in Malaysia for a stay not exceeding 30 days. However, long term stay for the purpose of  studying or work undertaking or training in Malaysia require a Visa.

How to Apply?

 

eVISA

 

  1. eVisa is applicable for foreigners (non-Malaysian) who require a Visa to enter Malaysia.
  2. Applicants must submit eVISA application from the country of residence.
  3. Online application available at http://malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my/.
  4. Detailed information, instruction, terms, and conditions of the eVISA application are also available on the website.
  5. All applications and payments are to be submitted online. Relevant fees/charges for eVISA are:

 *Visa Fee: according to the nationality

Processing Fee: RM 105.00 (approximately about BDT 2,500)

**Authorised Visa Application Agencies Fee:

 

Convenience Fee: 

 

a. e-Commerce / Mastercard Payment (0.8% from the transaction amount)

b. eWallet: Alipay / WechatPay / UnionPay (1.7% from the transaction amount)

 

Note:

  • Visa fee for Bangladesh passport is RM 20.00 (approximately about BDT600). Visa fee may vary according to nationality of the applicant
  • At the discretion of the Authorised Visa Application Agencies

 

  1. All required information must be provided, and please ensure all uploaded documents fulfilled the required specification to avoid rejection.
  2. All Visa application will be considered on the merits, and the High Commission of Malaysia has the right to seek additional information or request for an interview at any stage of processing.
  3. The High Commission of Malaysia reserves the right to refuse a Visa application without providing any reason.
  4. The fact that an application for a Visa is received through the High Commission of Malaysia will not guarantee that the Visa will be issued.
  5. A copy of the approved eVISA must be printed on A4 size paper. The printed eVISA must be presented at Malaysia entry checkpoints upon arrival.
  6. Visa application for Foreign Workers must be submitted to the relevant Visa Application Agencies.
